Apple’s App Store is Hilarious
The biggest problem with the Apple App Store for the iPhone is that ANYONE can write a review.
So fire up iTunes or your iPhone and go to the Finance Section.
There is an App in there MyAccountsToGo - SAP Business One. It’s an iPhone app that hooks into SAP’s Business One software. SAP makes ERP software (Enterprise Resource Planning). It’s very expensive stuff, for example a 10 User License of BusinessOne is over $50,000 maybe $5100 per seat, and this is what is marketed to SMALL Businesses. Take that price for example and multiply it by 10,000 employees for a large corp, the price per seat will drop with that kind of economy of scale but not by much as the implementations are also that much more complex.
The iPhone app that acts as an SAP client costs $450 bucks. Chump change when you are talking about this kind of software.
But of course all of the product reviews in Apples App store are either Five stars - AWESOME WORKS GREAT! or One Star - WTF!!!! THIS IS A RIPOFF WHAT DOES IT EVEN DO?!?!?!
Apple’s got to do something about all the kiddies posting ‘comments’ instead of reviews about something they no NOTHING about.
